Questions About the SAT?

What Is the Digital SAT Like?

Since March 2023, the SAT exam has been administered 100% digitally. Although it is still taken in person, it is now taken on a computer. This new format is shorter (2 hours instead of 3) and allows the use of a calculator throughout the math section.

At Educa, we offer the most comprehensive preparation course in Latin America, fully updated for the Digital SAT, with strategic resources, real practice, and personalized advice. Our students in the region have achieved scores within the top 1% worldwide in this format.

Is It Mandatory to Take the SAT Exam?

The SAT exam is one of the main admission requirements for undergraduate study at universities in the United States. At many institutions, especially the most prestigious ones, it is mandatory.

In other cases, it is presented as test-optional, but in practice, submitting a good score significantly increases the chances of being accepted.

A growing number of universities around the world require or accept the SAT, including institutions in Europe.

What SAT Score Should I Aim For?

You do not pass or fail the SAT. Each university has an average score among accepted students. For example, highly competitive universities such as Stanford tend to have averages above 1500 points.

The important thing is to define your goal based on the universities you want to apply to. At Educa, we help you identify that target range and prepare you to exceed it.
