¿Es obligatorio rendir el examen SAT?

En muchas universidades competitivas de Estados Unidos el SAT sigue siendo un requisito central, y en algunos estados es obligatorio. Aunque ciertas instituciones lo manejan como test optional, un buen puntaje SAT sigue incrementando de forma importante las posibilidades de admisión y becas, tanto en EE. UU. como en otros países.

¿Qué puntaje necesito para “aprobar” el SAT?

El SAT no tiene una nota de aprobación fija. Cada universidad maneja rangos de puntaje típicos entre sus admitidos. Para instituciones muy selectivas, los puntajes de referencia son altos, generalmente por encima de los 1400 o 1500 puntos. Lo importante es definir un rango objetivo en función de tu lista de universidades.
