This document governs the Privacy Policy of EDUCA COLLEGE PREP S.A., hereinafter referred to as "Educa."

At Educa, we are committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of our users. Therefore, we guarantee the utmost confidentiality of such information and employ high security standards. In accordance with Law 81 of 2019 on Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Panama, our clients have the right to know how we process their data and how they may exercise their rights.   1. Processing and Transfer of Your Personal Data

In accordance with personal data protection regulations, Educa is legally authorized to use your personal data for the purpose of carrying out the contractual relationship you maintain with us. We may also use and share your personal data with authorities and third parties authorized by law in order to comply with obligations established under national or international regulations applicable to Educa, including those related to anti-money laundering, counter-terrorism financing systems, and prudential regulations.

Your information may be retained for up to ten years after the contractual relationship with Educa has ended.

  1. Processing of Minors’ Personal Data

Educa only uses the personal data of minors with the prior consent of their parents, guardians, or legal representatives. If a minor provides personal data through our website, it is assumed that they have obtained the appropriate permission from their parents, guardians, or legal representatives, who shall be considered responsible for all actions carried out by the minors under their care.

Please remember that you must present your identity document (National ID Card, Foreigner Identification Card, or Passport) to verify that you are the data subject. If you use a legal representative, such representative must provide proof of authorization by presenting the corresponding power of attorney or legal document confirming their authority to exercise these rights on your behalf. You or your representative must complete the “Request for the Exercise of Rights Protected under the Personal Data Protection Law” and provide any supporting documentation, where applicable.

We will process your request free of charge, following the procedures and deadlines established under personal data protection regulations.

Right of Access / Information

You have the right to be informed about your personal data included in our databases, how it was collected, the reasons for its collection, at whose request it was collected, any transfers that have been made, as well as the conditions and purposes for which it is used. We will provide all information regarding the purpose for which your personal data is used, who has access to it, the databases in which it is stored, our identity and address as the database owner, and, where applicable, the identity and address of the party responsible for managing your personal data. We will also inform you of any national or international transfers of your data, whether responses to questionnaires are mandatory or optional, the consequences of providing or refusing to provide personal data, the retention period for your data, and your right to exercise the rights granted by law and the means available to do so.

Right to Rectification / Update

You may request the updating, inclusion, or modification of your personal data when it is partially or totally inaccurate, incomplete, erroneous, false, or outdated. You must specify the data you wish to rectify, update, modify, or include, as well as the correction or addition you would like Educa to make, and provide the applicable supporting documentation.

Right to Cancellation / Deletion

You may request the total or partial deletion or cancellation of your personal data from our databases if it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, if the retention period has expired, or if the processing is not carried out in accordance with personal data protection regulations. Please note that your cancellation request will not proceed if you maintain a contractual relationship with Educa and your personal data is necessary to execute that contractual relationship. Likewise, cancellation will not proceed when we are required to retain your personal data during the periods established by applicable regulations, or when such data is retained for historical, statistical, or scientific purposes in accordance with applicable law.

Right to Object

You have the right to object to being included in our personal databases or to the processing of your information when you have not authorized its collection, when it has been obtained from publicly accessible sources, or when, having previously provided consent, you can demonstrate legitimate reasons relating to a specific personal situation that justify the exercise of this right.

Right to Revoke Consent

At any time and without prior justification, you may request that your personal data cease to be used for any of the purposes previously authorized. Please note that your revocation request will not proceed if you maintain a contractual relationship with Educa and your personal data is necessary to execute that contractual relationship. Likewise, revocation will not proceed when we are required to retain your personal data during the periods established by applicable regulations, or when such data is retained for historical, statistical, or scientific purposes in accordance with applicable law.

  1. Amendments to the Privacy Policy

Educa reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time and without prior notice. Any modification shall become effective and enforceable against third parties upon publication on this website.
